If you have a message that won’t delete no matter what you do try this.
Plug BB into pc
Open Desktop Manager
Click Backup and Restore
Click the Advanced Tab
On the right hand side you will see Device Databases, find Browser Messages, Messages, MMS Messages, PIN Messages, Saved Email Messages and SMS Messages. Hold the control key on your keyboard and left click each one of these that you want to be cleared. The press clear and then press yes to continue.
Another solution maybe just Select your Message Icon, Highlight a date, Hit Menu, Select Mark Prior Read.
For the Missed Call Icon
First of all DON'T delete your call logs.
Open up your Call logs. Look for the contacts with the Missed calls icon.
Scroll to them>Hit Menu(BB button)>select View History.
That should make the icon go away. Along with the one on the homescreen.

How to Transfer a File using Bluetooth between two BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphones
You can send and receive files, using Bluetooth wireless technology, between Blackberry Pearl 8100 smartphones by completing the following steps
1. Enable Bluetooth on your BlackBerryPearl
2. Make the sending and receiving BlackBerry Pearl discoverable.
3. Pair the two BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphones.
4. Set the Trusted field to Yes on both BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphones.
In the Bluetooth application, highlight the BlackBerry Pearl and press the Menu button
Select Device Properties
Set the Trusted field to Yes
Press the Menu button and select Save
5. Send and receive the transferred file
On the recipient’s BlackBerryPearl :
On the Home screen click Media
Click a media type (Music, Video, Ring Tones, Pictures).
Press the Menu button and select Receive using Bluetooth. The File Transfer dialog box appears, followed by a prompt to Save or Cancel the file
Click Save to save the file to the current location or click the folder icon to save the file in a different location.
On the Sender’s BlackBerry Pearl
On the Home screen click Media
Click the same media type selected on the recipient’s BlackBerry Pearl
Press the Menu button and select Send Using Bluetooth
When prompted to select a smartphone click the recipient’s BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphone
*This does work with Non-pearl devices also. Just make sure they're paired and USE the SEND/RECEIVE Using Bluetooth Option.

How to remove a third-party application from a BlackBerry smartphone
These steps only apply if the the third-party application cannot be removed by the application loader tool. This procedure will delete third-party applications from the BlackBerry smartphone:
1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, go to the Options menu (this may also be Settings > Options).
2. Complete the appropriate following step for the version of BlackBerry® Device Software:
· If the smartphone is using BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 or earlier, go to Options >Applications.
· If the smartphone is using BlackBerry Device Software 4.1 to 4.7, go to Options >Advanced Options > Applications.
· If the smartphone is using BlackBerry Device Software 5.0, go to Options > Applications>then select Third Party.
· If the smartphone is using BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, go to Options > Device >Application Management and highlight the application. Press the Menu key and selectdelete.
3. Select the third-party application you want to delete and click Delete.
4. When prompted to restart the smartphone, select Yes.
If the application is not listed in the application list:
1. Display the menu (click the trackwheel or click the Menu button) and select Modules.
2. Select the software module to be deleted.
3. Display the menu and select Delete.

How To Separate SMS & Email Messages
No so much an error as a common question, but some users prefer to have separate inboxes for SMS/MMS messages & emails, while some prefer to have them all in one place. To change this option is simple - In your Message go to Options > General Options and change SMS and Email Inboxes to separate. This will give you individual folders for your SMS/MMS and Email messages. Keep in mind this setting can be affected by some custom themes.
My Browser Is Missing
A common issue that shows up more often than you would think. Commonly after activating a new device or upgrading the OS. There is a simple fix, but most users don't know where to start.
· Insure you have a BlackBerry data plan
· Make sure the icon is not hidden - press the Menu key and select Show All - see if the icon is on the screen at all
Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Press the Menu key and select Register NowWait about 30 seconds and the icon should appear. Sometimes it may take longer depending on your service etc. so be patient. If it doesn't show up after a while (10 minutes or so) try a battery pull. After the restart if it still doesn't appear, you may need to resend your service books as described above

An updated version of 9700 released last year, Blackberry Bold 9780 has an improved hardware
NEW DELHI, INDIA: Though Research In Motion (RIM) is yet to solve the issue over its messaging service, the BlackBerry maker has launched its latest smartphone BlackBerry Bold 9780 in the Indian market.
According to media reports, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is now available in India, and is priced at Rs. 30,000. However, some other reports and tweets said that the new smartphone is available for Rs. 26,900.
An updated version of 9700 released last year, Blackberry Bold 9780 has an improved hardware, say reports.
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone supports 3G HSDPA networks around the world and is equipped with a next-generation, high-performance (624 MHz) processor and 256 MB on-board Flash memory, while 9780, which runs on BlackBerry OS 6.0, has 512 MB RAM and a higher resolution camera.
Compared to the 3 megapixel camera of 9700, the new version boasts of 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash and image stabilization.
Recently Tata Indicom, the CDMA arm of Tata Teleservices Limited and Research in Motion had announced the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9650 for the CDMA users in India. 9650 is the first combined CDMA-GSM 3G-ready Smartphone in the BlackBerry Bold series.

1. Remove the Battery cover.
2. Remove and reinsert the Blackberry battery to reset the Blackberry .

How to access Internet via Blackberry SmartPhone
Set up an Internet APN.
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
- Double-click Phone and Modem Options.
- In the Phone and Modem Options window, click the Modems tab.
- Select Standard Modem and click Properties.
- Click Change Settings.
- In the Standard Modem Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
- In the Extra initialization commands field, type the following:
+cgdcont=1,"IP","<your Internet APN>"
Note: The following is applicable for T-Mobile® customers only:
The extra initialization command is: +cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"
Note: If you do not know your Internet APN, or if you do not have an Internet APN, contact your service provider.
- Click OK.
- In the Phone and Modem Options window, click OK.
To configure dial-up networking, complete the procedure that is appropriate to the operating system you are using:
Windows Vista
- Click Start.
- Select Connect To.
- Click Setup a connection or network.
- Click Setup a dialup connection.
- In the Dial-up phone number field type *99#.
- Type the user name and password provided by your service provider.
- In the Connection Name field type BlackBerry.
- Click Dialing Rules.
- Make sure the profile created in Task 2 has been selected, and then click OK.
- Select Connect to establish an internet.
